Your edits look great so far! You really seem to have picked up the formatting and template usage. Welcome to the site! --Brian 05:30, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. I am still figuring out a lot of it. Mostly I just copy/paste the format and then change it to fit for right now. --Tash 14:50, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

The templates do have the correct formulas in them :) 5C != 9F, it is 41F. Try out the {{f| }} and {{c| }} templates. --Brian 04:08, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

no, just that one page was incorrect. It was talking about reducing the temp by 10C and said that it was 50F which it is not. "5-10°C (41-50°F) colder" this is NOT correct in this sence. The formula is correct elsewhere. Check it out. If your tank water is 27C then it is 80.6F. Add water that is 10C LOWER which is 17C or 62.6F. For this ONE page it can not use the formula. --Tash 04:21, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand, if the water needs to be 5-10deg C less then the current water, then it needs to be 41-50deg F cooler water. If if needs 10deg F cooler water, the template needs to be changed to {{f|5|10}} , but the templates will still provide the correct conversion. --Brian 13:27, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

The way the article currently reads then if you have a tank with 80F water you need to add water that is 50F colder. which is 30F or ICE. Replacing half of your water with ice doesn't sound right and would probably kill even the hardiest fish. I have heard of people adding a tray or two of ice, but not replacing 1/2 the tank with it. I don't think either formula is correct for this one page and it should be hand written in this one case. maybe we should copy this discussion over to the article talk page so other people will see and comment? --Tash 13:34, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I agree, what it says sounds wrong, a -12.2°C (10°F) sounds plausible. I imagine the water change is meant to simulate heavy rainfall. We can bring the discussion to the talk page and look up who wrote it to see if it can be verified. --Brian 14:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Blackworms[edit]

Hi Tash,

I see you've got a culture of Cal. Blackworms.

Any chance I could pay you some money and you ship a few of them in a plastic bag to me in Scotland via quick Airline freight?

--Quatermass 12:37, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I actually don't have them anymore. I only got 1/4lb and that was 3 weeks ago. sorry.
