scuds[edit]

are scuds the same as daphnia? --Tash 17:12, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so, the link talks about Scuds (or Gammarus) as being up to 1cm across. I've never seen Daphnia that big. Plus if you do a Google image search they certainly don't look like them! :-)

ok. I have never even heard of scuds. But I do think that larger species of daphnia can get kinda big. Around here most people use daphnia, blackworms, bbs, and micro or walter worms, for the most part. I will try to add a daphnia section later... --Tash 13:07, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

We have a Daphnia page and the category live foods page has a daphnia section too. :-)

This page seems to have evolved into a badly formatted category with lots of text.

Each of these live foods items should really have their own page me thinks.

P.S. Where is 'here'? The World is a large place and your user page doesn't say what part of the world you are from. :-)

Yeah. This should get some kind of standarization. It just seemed to me that the format was to list the foods at the top and then add the catagory. But removing the list is probably a good idea.

ps 'here' is the US if you can't tell by my spellings of color, harbor, etc ;) Specifcially I am currently near DC, but I have lived all over the eastern states. Every month my club has an auction in which Daphnia are fought over  --Tash 14:28, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
